The Alcarreña is found in the La Alcarria, Guadalajara and Cuenca regions of New Castille,
Spain. They are a medium-wooled meat breed. The breed is of the Entrefino type, sometimes
with light brown markings on the head and legs, occasionally all black. Both sexes
are polled.
