The San Martinero is found in Meta and Caqueta provinces of central Columbia. They
are of Crillo type and are similar to the Consteño con Cuernos but have better confirmation.
San Martinero cattle are usually beige, yellow-red or chestnut.
San Martinero were bred for weigh gain and milk yield. They are among the heaviest
muscled of the Crillo breeds.
