This breed is found in the portion of Greece bordering the Ionian Sea. Used for both meat and milk production, the Zakynthos is
usually white but some individuals can be found with black spots on the head. The
males maybe horned or polled and the females are polled. This breed might of been
developed from the Bergamasca.
